Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

In the name of Allah, most gracious most merciful.
This is one of the earliest nasyeeds I first heard from Dawud Wharnsby Ali
It has very simple words but very meaningful for the heart.
It goes like this,

You can always tell when Allah remembers you
Just remember Allah, that’s all you have to do.
All you have to do to have Allah remember you
Is just remember Allah, Jalla Jallalahu.

Remember when you’re swinging
Remember when you’re singing
Remember when you’re biking
Or hiking through the trees.
Remember when you’re laughing
Remember when you’re crying
Remember when you’re working
In the garden on your knees!

You can always tell when Allah remembers you
Just remember Allah, that’s all you have to do.
All you have to do to have Allah remember you
Is just remember Allah, Jalla Jallalahu.

Make dhikr when you’re playing
And dhikr when you’re praying
Make dhikr when you’re walking
Or standing in a line.
Make dhikr in your head
Or when you’re laying on your bed.
Make dhikr in a chair
Make dhikr anywhere!

You can always tell when Allah remembers you
Just remember Allah, that’s all you have to do.
All you have to do to have Allah remember you
Is just remember Allah, Jalla Jallalahu.

Your dhikr is reflection
That brings Allah’s protection,
Puts you in the right direction to love Allah!
